Swindon Town Football Club


Swindon Town Football Club Formed in 1881. One end is the Stratton Bank Stand, a former terrace with rows of seats. This is an uncovered area with a clock above it along with a small electric scoreboard. Opposite is the covered Town End. The sides are larger, two tiered covered stands towering above the two ends. The newest of these is the Nationwide Stand, while on the other side is the older Arkells Stand. The latter has windshields on either side and a few supporting pillars. The ground also benefits by a set of four floodlight pylons.

Ogbourne Downs Golf Club - Marlborough


Whether you are a member or visitor to Ogbourne Downs, you can be assured of a warm, friendly welcome every time. The course offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities and is an excellent choice for parties or the single golfer alike. The club offers a wide range of excellent facilities and has an active golfing and social calendar. The course was designed by J.H. Taylor in 1927 and still retains its original character as it undulates over the superb turf of the Marlborough Downs. Not only does Ogbourne Downs offer a superb golf course, there are also some excellent practise facilities at your disposal.


Marlborough Golf Club - Marlborough


Founded in 1888 and set in the beautiful rolling Marlborough Downs, the course presents a real challenge to the low handicapper - the Wiltshire Professional Championship has been held at Marlborough for the last 12 years - at the same time as providing a fair test for those with higher handicaps. The back 9 are played on 114 year old turf;indeed the hole layouts are largely unchanged . The course was extended to 18 holes in 1970. But what distinguishes most is the friendliness of our staff and members. Whether its golf or a function, you can be sure you'll have a great time at Marlborough.
